How old do you have to be to use Bicikelj system?

You can use Bicikelj system from age 14 and upwards (minimum height: 1.50 m). The subscription form for a minor (between 14 and 18) must be completed by the legal guardian, who undertakes to abide by and ensure compliance with the general conditions of access and use.

Can I lend my Urbana card or my weekly subscription to another person?

The general terms and conditions for the use of Bicikelj system state that the lending out of an Urbana card is forbidden. Considering the fact that you are responsible for the rented bike, we recommend you do not lend out information for a weekly subscription. When you take out a subscription, you undertake to respect the general terms and conditions of access and use, which means that you are legally liable for the bike.

What do I do if I am unable to lock the bike correctly upon returning it?

When locking the bike to the stand, wait for the beep indicating you have locked the bike correctly. If you notice that a bike is not locked correctly, contact the call centre at 080 2334 or send an e-mail to info@bicikelj.si.

What do I do if I get a puncture?

If you get a puncture, return the bike to the nearest station, lock it to a stand for security and contact the call centre on 080 2334.

What do I do if the bike is stolen?

Immediately call the call centre at 080 2334 or send an e-mail to info@bicikelj.si.

Report the theft to the police within 24 hours. Send a copy of the police report to the following address:

What do I do in the case of an accident on a bike?

In the event of an accident, inform Europlakat d.o.o. by calling the call centre at 080 2334 or by sending an e-mail message to info@bicikelj.si within 12 hours of the accident. The bike is your responsibility until it is returned to a stop and locked to a stand. You can also wait for a Europlakat d.o.o. agent to arrive and hand over the bike in person.
In the event of bodily injury or greater material damage, report the accident to the police.

What do I do if I lose my Urbana card?

In the case of losing your Urbana card, send a request for a new 12-digit activation code along with your user number to the e-mail address info@bicikelj.si. In this case, the user number and PIN code remain unchanged.
You do not have to register again.

Are the first 60 minutes free only for my first ride?

The first 60 minutes are free for every first ride, i.e. every time you rent a bike.

Can I rent a bike for several days?

The self-hire bike was designed for short journeys. Stations are approximately 300 to 500 metres apart for easy access, so that you can pick up or return a bike whenever you want. The maximum period of use authorised is 24 hours.

Do I need insurance?

You must have third party liability insurance in order to use Bicikelj system.
